ABOUT YOU
- Address any immediate issues of concern to Program Director.
- Attend weekly supervision with Program Director
- Attend required trainings/ team meetings as needed
- Must receive CPR/AED certification and maintain active certification.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Provide supervision on JCC bus for client transport to/from program (if needed)
- Maintain daily attendance record. Report daily attendance for each client, as well as client activities and level/quality of participation.
- Provide light breakfast/ snack to client, and ensure client safety during meals.
- Assist with lunch as needed, including serving food and cutting up food. Any clients requiring staff feeding must be brought to Program Director’s attention.
- Assist clients in small group activities as appropriate for their skill level.
- Assist/ Guide clients when they toilet themselves and dressing; monitor decline in this activity of daily living. Provide cueing as needed
- Assist clients with transfer as needed from chair to standing position, standing to seated position, and transfer from one seat to another.
- Bring clients to their scheduled programs, including daily exercise, mental stimulation activities, sensory motor activities, dance, swim, music, art, birthday parties, transportation back to their place of residence, etc.
- Assist clients to board the buses, and escort client safely to their place of residence where their caregiver is waiting, if needed (must ensure caregiver meets participant at the door).
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years related work experience.
- HS Diploma/ GED
- Background check required.
- Updated annual Health Physical required to be kept on file.
- PPD test must be administered every two years; record of results must be kept on file.
- Must understand and comply with the mission of the JCC
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- CPR/AED Certification
- Experience with geriatric population preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Fluency in Russian, Spanish, Italian, and/or Hebrew (verbal and written) a plus.
