JOB SUMMARY
The Membership Services Coordinator will be responsible for all reporting and data analytics for the membership department. In partnership with the Director of Membership and Engagement and the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will process and share statistics with the agency’s leadership to determine selling, promotional, and retention strategies.
The Membership Services Coordinator will assist members, prospective members and program participants and ensure that recruitment, retention, customer service and customer satisfaction are of the highest quality.
The Membership Services Coordinator must be available to work a flexible schedule including daytime, evening and weekend hours.

$40,000-$50,000 annually, commensurate with experience

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serves as facilitator for member issues, questions, concerns and problems
- Implements membership recruitment and retention projects as assigned by Director of Membership and Community Engagement
- Communicates with new and potential members to determine needs and collect data to assist in selling JCC programs and memberships
- Assists Director to meet targeted membership sales based on budget goals
- Serves as key staff person to conduct tours with prospective members, which includes a sales component to convert visitors to members
- Direct sales, processing member applications, upgrades, downgrades and cancellations
- Assists with retention calls, renewals, and documentation of member requests
- Coordinates and/or assists and participates in member, guest, and JCC events, promotions, and special projects
- Partners with membership and marketing teams to create retention initiatives for all membership categories
- Demonstrates awareness and knowledge of the facilities and all programs offered by the JCC on a continual basis
- Database administration which includes maintenance and upkeep of the membership database
- Tracks and reports membership statistics including membership units, sales rates, retention rates, etc.
- Assists finance personnel with accounting tasks including membership related accounts receivables, reconciling revenue, generating and analyzing reports
- Attends meetings and trainings as necessary
- Consistently offers the highest level of personalized member service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and helpful attitude
- Other duties as assigned
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in membership-driven, multi-purpose facility
- Excellent human relations, communications, and customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships at all levels
- Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to be an independent contributor and team player
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
