WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and implement early childhood education programs and curriculum.
- Ensure programs align with educational standards and developmental goals.
- Supervise and support teachers and childcare staff.
- Conduct classroom observations and program evaluations.
- Organize staff development and training sessions.
- Monitor child development and assessment outcomes.
- Collaborate with families, community organizations, and school administrators.
- Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements.
- Assist with enrollment, program planning, and budgeting.
- Promote inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
- Manage all aspects of building maintenance, safety, repairs and security.
- Supervise the ordering and inventory of program supplies.
- Prepare and lead staff and curriculum meetings.
AGENCY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend committee meetings and agency events which may occur on weekends and/or evenings.
- Assist in planning Center and School wide events.
- Attend program staff meetings, in-service training and on and offsite professional development workshops, as determined by Early Childhood Director.
- Keep Director informed of all extra ordinary incidents relating to accidents, concerns about child’s welfare or circumstances.
- Appropriately represent the center in all forums.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Certification in Early Childhood / Birth – 2nd
- Experience in early childhood teaching and program coordination
- Knowledge of curriculum planning and child assessment methods
- Organizational abilities
- Familiarity with state childcare licensing standards
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
